By the Kentax Taxis team, based on The Parade in Bourne End since 1997. Last checked 20 October 2026.
Christmas taxi Bourne End bookings should be made early, because no trains run on Christmas Day 2026 and almost none run on Boxing Day. Trains on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve run but may finish earlier than usual, and Great Western Railway has works from 27 to 29 December that close the line into Paddington. Call Kentax on 01628 201381 or book online, and give us the date, time and address as early as you can.

Are buses running over Christmas?
Carousel Buses runs services 36 and 37 through Bourne End and publishes holiday arrangements on its news page. When should I book a Christmas taxi in Bourne End?
Book as soon as your plans are fixed. You can pre-book up to three months in advance. Secure the dates with the fewest alternatives first: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27 to 29 December and New Year’s Eve. When you book, give us:
- the pick-up address and the destination
- the date and time you need to arrive or leave
- the number of passengers and bags
- any child seat or accessibility need
- the return time, if you want a car for the way back
Confirm the booking by phone on 01628 201381. Our Bourne End taxis service is based on The Parade in the village centre.
How do I get to Heathrow or Gatwick over Christmas?
Rail links to the airports are disrupted this year. From 27 to 29 December, Great Western Railway trains cannot run into Paddington and Heathrow Express is suspended. The Elizabeth line runs a reduced holiday timetable from 24 December to 4 January, with some line closures on its western section.
A taxi avoids the changes. Heathrow is 30 to 40 minutes from Bourne End in normal traffic, and our terminal-by-terminal guide explains which terminal to choose. Gatwick is 70 to 80 minutes away, and our Bourne End to Gatwick taxi guide covers fares and the drop-off charge.
How do I get home on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve?
Trains run on both evenings but may end earlier than usual, and Bourne End station has no taxi rank. Book your return before you go out, tell us the time you expect to finish, and call if plans change. Our guide to late-night taxis in Bourne End explains how to book safely.
Can I book a larger vehicle for a family gathering?
Yes. Our fleet includes estate cars and 6 and 8-seater MPVs, and child seats are available on request. For groups of 9 or more, see our minibus hire.
